The Process of Making a Will

Making Your Will (Wasiyat)

The Process Involved

Islam is not just a religion to be practised occasionally but is a way of life for all mankind. The Quran and the Hadith's of our Holy Prophet Muhammed (s.a.w) guides us all each day in all that we do. They govern each and every aspect of our daily lives. From what we eat, the way we behave with each other and much more. Death will come to us all and we cannot take our wealth with us, so the Quran also guides every sane Muslim through the process of death and what we need to do with our wealth and how it should be distributed Islamically.

“It is the duty of a Muslim who has anything to bequeath not to let two nights pass without writing a will.”

This site was designed by experts who are well versed in Islamic Inheritance laws. We calculate the shares for each of your beneficiaries according to Islamic Law.

1.   Creating your Will (Wasiyat) involves answering some basic questions about you, your family, your financial affairs, and some preferences. It usually takes about 30 minutes.  You can do this yourself by simply clicking on our Apply Online  tab or by contacting us, where we will be more than happy to fill in the details for you.

2. Once you have completed your questionnaire, our team will begin their work in creating your Islamic Law compliant Will (Wasiyat). We will then send you the draft copy for you to review.

3. Once any changes are made, we will send your Will to our dedicated Maulana/Imam who will then review this for Sharia compliance. All personal information about you will be omitted so that your Will (Wasiyat) becomes anonymous to them. Upon reviewing your Will (Wasiyat) and subject to their approval, we will prepare your final Will (Wasiyat) for you to sign.

4. When you receive this, you can check, then sign this in the presence of your witnesses, after which you can send this back to us for us to check, send out a final copy to you and keep a secure copy with us. All Wills (Wasiyats) are securely stored by us so that you can request a copy whenever you wish.

5. We at Al-Samad Wills are in the process setting up an online system whereby you can create a unique personal login ID and password so that you can view your Will (Wasiyat) when you like from the comfort of your own home.
